At Mara Mountain we will teach our students various techniques and styles.
Our training practices follow the guidelines of the BC & International log and timber building Industry.

By keeping our classes small with a maximum of 10 students per building and Instructor, I find that this enables students to learn more and retain more knowledge. In the first week students are introduced to all log building tools, they will learn proper tool use and chain saw safety as well as maintenance and sharpening.

We will then be creating small projects to get you familiarized with the log & timber building tools, then working up to a full size log building structure, from its base round to its massive joinery trusses and roof system. 

At Mara Mountain from the start to the finish of our courses we have a complete hands on experience for you, with room for each of our student to take part in, to perfect his or her skills in every aspect of the projects.

When our students have completed this course they will have the knowledge, experience and confidence of a new Industry builder. If you wish to further yourself in this trade (ITA) Industry Training Authority has completed a four year apprenticeship program as an added bonus will give you information on the apprenticeship program, job postings and online leads from our log and timber building industry associations.

Mara Mountain Log & Timber is a top-notch training facility designed to teach you the art of log and timber building trade. We also provide an opportunity for anyone wanting to build his or her own log or timber project. At our site we provide a safe environment with safe equipment and trained staff to help you.
