(Q) How much time is needed for funding registration?
(A) Due to the lengthy process for applicants applying for funding, it is recommended that you apply 6- weeks before our course starting date, contact us for more details.

(Q) How many students can you have in one course?
(A) We only have a maximum of 10 students on one building, if we have more than ten students we start another building and split the students up between both projects as well as we have other instructors helping . Our maximum seating capacity is 20 total students.

(Q) Is this a registered Trade and can I get Apprenticeships?
(A) Yes (ITA) Industry Training Authority has just completed the four year Log Builders Apprenticeship program, for more information check the ITA link or contact us for more information.

(Q) Do I receive a diploma or certificate upon completion of this course?
(A) Yes. Upon completion of our course the student will receive a Certificate of Completion; as well, we document the student’s information and can get credits towards his or her apprenticeship.

(Q) If the course is cancelled or I’m unable to attend will our money be refunded?
(A) Yes we refund your tuition fees, the registration fee is non refundable.

(Q) What is the difference in the brands of tools used?
(A) Our preferred tools is because we have used the brands of tool in the industry and are of good quality and have been proven to last.

(Q) Can I get a job in this trade after taking your course?
(A) Yes, most of our students are able to find employment in this trade. Employers are asking all the time for list of well trained students that have completed our log & timber building course. We also supply our students with a list of possible employer’s too.

(Q) Does Mara Mountain Log & Timber build custom projects?
(A) Yes Mara Mountain builds custom homes or cabins.

1. We have our student built buildings; these can be designed to suit our client’s needs. Since it is built by students our clients are informed that it may or may not have some small mistakes but will still be structurally sound. Our student built projects are sold at a reduced rate.
2. For the client that wants a professionally built project, we have our certified professional builders on staff willing to build your log or timber projects solely by professionals.

(Q) Do we have group rates?
(A) Yes we have group rates.

(Q) Can you train at another site?
(A) Yes it all depends on how large of a group and where it is.
