Glen Jackson, owner and instructor, has been in the log building trade since 1982, working his way thru the ranks. In 1996, Glen helped to establish the BC Log & Timber Association, also to his credit he was involved in the development of the apprenticeship program providing in depth knowledge of log building practices as well as the health & safety committee for the log building trade.

Glen was an active board member until 2002, in that same year he became a certified log and timber master craftsman.

Glen has built many log and timber structures, commercial and residential, thru his years in size and complexity throughout Canada and the U.S. Glen contracted for various log and timber companies, when he realized that the trade needed more builders.

In 2008 he formed Mara Mountain Log & Timber Training Facility. He offers the most advanced, up-to-date training from certified instructors teaching the methods and knowledge needed for the craftsman level for today’s growing Industry of builders.
